A juxtaposition of traditional elegance and modern outdoor entertaining

Raising the bar, or should we say – spa, is this stunning creation by Form Pool Design. The pool’s linear and rectangular shape is quite traditional in style, however there are few modern design elements included to give that resort living atmosphere. Of which, include the raised spa, offering the ultimate in luxurious living and outdoor entertainment. Another contemporary feature is that the perimeter of the pool and spa is surrounded by bluestone and decking.

The brief from the owner was a pool that could be utilised for personal and entertainment purposes. Loving to entertain, and with the inclusion of the spa and nearby fire pit, this area can now be used all year round for family, and guests.

Located in Melbourne’s beautiful leafy South Eastern suburb of South Yarra, the home had very tight access to the backyard. This meant that excavation was a challenge, with only 720mm side access. Despite these difficulties, Form Pool Design knew that the end result would prove to be magnificent.
Traditional in many ways, the outlook from each angle gives a very different perspective. The landscaping consisting of tall trees and surrounding hedges allows for a secluded, private villa atmospheric vibe. This, coupled with the raised spa and the featured seating with the fire pit, all look luxurious and definitely create an outdoor haven that the owners will enjoy for years to come.
